Sixth Form Entry requirements

We have a wide range of Level 3 courses, both academic and applied. We are proud of our record in helping students to achieve qualifications, employment and places in further and higher education.

We have very strong links with local universities and pride ourselves on our ability to offer precise and detailed advice and guidance not only on a possible career but on the best route into a specific learning or career programme.

All students in our sixth form will have five hours teaching per week for each of their Level 3 subjects.
Our Year 12 students will also complete the Progression Module, have a personal development lesson and complete a leadership qualification (Sports or STEM).
Our Year 13 students will compliment their subject specific lessons with a personal development lesson and a lesson focussing on Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to support their next steps.
See the subject pages in Learning at BVGA for details about the Post-16 Curriculum offer.
In the summer term students will complete a work experience placement to support their career aspirations.
